Cookie Policy
Last updated: [VERIFY: date]
(Governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (“PECR”), SI 2003/2426, reg. 6, and the UK GDPR. Under PECR reg. 6, storing or accessing information on a user’s device beyond what is strictly necessary for the service the user has requested requires the user’s prior consent.)
3.1 The marketing website (skyloftapp.co.uk)
[VERIFY: list the cookies / local storage the marketing site actually sets. If you use analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, Plausible), list them here.]
- Strictly necessary — required to serve the website (e.g. Vercel edge routing). These do not require consent.
- Analytics — [VERIFY: do you use any analytics on the marketing site? If yes, they are non-essential and require prior consent under PECR reg. 6. They must be off by default until the visitor consents.]
3.2 The in-flight product (screen + phone remote)
The Skyloft product apps run on the aircraft’s isolated onboard network (not the public internet). They use no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no analytics pixels. The only client-side storage used is:
- Session state — the transient pairing/session token held in browser memory for the duration of your session, strictly necessary for the service to function. This is not a persistent cookie and does not survive closing the browser tab.
Because this storage is strictly necessary for the service you have requested, no consent is required under PECR reg. 6(4).
3.3 Your choices
Where we use non-essential cookies or similar storage on the marketing website, we ask for your consent first and you can withdraw it at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. [VERIFY: describe your actual consent mechanism on the marketing site — e.g. a cookie banner — and ensure non-essential storage is genuinely blocked until consent is given.]
